In the name of science, all is fair game. Especially when the Mythbusters are involved. I found out that a particular phrase I’ve been using lately to describe certain aspects of my work was investigated in depth by the Mythbusters on a recent episode. I was amazed.

I won’t lie to you though… some people might possibly not appreciate this topic in similar ways… some people might find this downright disgusting. Frankly, it kind of is. I won’t subject you to such if you don’t want. But if you’re quite compelled, now is the time to click through to the details…

OK! Don’t say I didn’t warn you. It’s not really all that bad to be honest. I mean, Everyone Poops! Get over it.

As I implied – certain aspects of my job have become like Polishing a Turd, which supposedly can’t be done. Though I would have readily agreed with this, Jamie and Adam of Mythbusters decided to investigate further. Lets watch…

FASCINATING!

I especially like how Jamie emphasises “POOP Polishing.”

While channel surfing the other day on the amazing quality of Verizon Fios TV, I came upon one of the new High Definition channels Planet Green, a station devoted to shows about ecological improvement.

Low and behold – BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY HAS RETURNED TO TELEVISION on a show called Stuff Happens (a title quite obviously a play on one of my favorite exclamatory phrases of all time).

Growing up, Bill Nye: The Science Guy was one of my favorite shows to watch. Just hearing the theme music gets my attention even today! Probably one of the contributing factors to my lifetime of nerdiness.

I watched an episode of Stuff Happens today about energy consumption in the sports world. I was enthralled by *Bill’s explanations and on the fly calculations of why Baseball has the biggest carbon footprint among sports – a quite sensible explanation too. They talked about some of the features of Nationals Park in Washington DC that make it the first green sports arena in the world.

Fascinating!

* That’s right – first name basis!
