Today I start a 15 day trip. First I’m off to Denver for a week of work. That’s the not as fun part, the work that is. Flying outearly today to get accustomed to the time difference. Though I forgot about the start of dst so it’s actually just like one hour difference instead of two. Neat. Gotta love those fluctuations in the space time continuum.
Anyways. I’ll be in Denver today until Friday then I start the fun part of my trip. Flying out to Michigan to visit the brother. We’ll just hang out in the michigan chill and we’ve got tickets to to see the Flyers in Detroit. So looking forward to that visit!
So I’m sitting in the airport waiting for my flight. I always get to the airport way much earlier than I probably need to. Better early than late though I guess. Wow I’m so growing up to be my father.
. He’s kind of the “anti-procrastinator”. It’s all good though. I get to relax and enjoy some coffee and breakfast and blog before I get crammed into my middle seat all uncomfortable with the tray tables and lack of footroom for four hours. And I gotta tell you – I’ve got big feet. You know what they say about guys with big feet don’t you? We hate airplane seat’s footroom, thats what.
Day 1: Waiting In The Airport
Big Jersey Snow
Classic Noreaster Snow Storm hit the eastern sea board today. I was originally supposed to drive down to DC today for work, but that didn’t happen! Darn.
Took this nice pic of my garage and my neighbors nice new fence. Quite picturesque if I do say so myself. FYI – this is the view out my window from my “office” when I’m working from home. Much nicer today than on most days.
WELCOME TO MARCH

That’s right ladies and gentlemen… It’s that special month where the facial hair is strategic, the children are locked away, and the ladies are stunned by manly sexiness…
Welcome to Mustache March!!!
Should I buy a MacBook?

Now that I’ve got an iPhone, and considering I’m a nerd… All i wanna do is write some program for my iPhone. The evil genius of Apple however makes it a pain in the ass to do iPhone development on the Windows platform. I’m conflicted here. Do I buy a Mac? Do I spend the time making the iPhone devlopment thing work on my PC?
Thing is, Macs tend to be a bit more expensive than I really want to spend right now – especially if it’d be almost exclusively for iPhone development. But maybe my genius would come up with the next great thing in iPhone development and it would make me millions and totally make the purchase worth while…
What to do what to do…
Pancake Day Great Success!

Since working on “Project Bob Evans”, let’s just say I have a new found appreciation for Pancakes. And guess what – yesterday was NATIONAL PANCAKE DAY!
In celebration of pancake day, I decided to make my own pancakes and invite over the parents. Add bananas and some little sausage patties… good eats.
And then for dessert – chop up some chocolate bars and mix in with the batter and bananas… yum.
Chicory Stout and Chocolate Bread
One of my current favorite beers is Dogfish Head Chicory Stout. It’s has a great smooth flavor that goes well as a dessert beer without being a dessert per say.
Wegmans sells occasionally Chocolate Bread – a crusty loaf with chocolate peices all throughout. Slice up some of that and pair it with this beer for good times. Pop the slice of bread in the toaster for a very short time and let the chocolate get a little bit melty. Little bit of butter or some whipped cream cheese… Decadant.
BACON EXPLOSION

Last sunday for the SuperBowl, I decided to make The Bacon Explosion. That’s right. Staring coronary artery disease right in the eye and laughing. As promised, I’ve documented all the steps involved in preparing the Pork Heart Attack and I’ve even added some of my own special tips and tricks and additions to the recipe prepared by BBQ Addicts.
I first heard about the Bacon Explosion when tweated by Fox29 that they were going to be featuring it during the Wing Bowl. I instantly emailed it to all my friends who challenged, nay begged me to make it for my SuperBowl party. Having already committed to makeing a great Gumbo (I’ll post on that one too, later) for said occasion I thought – Should I? Could I?
HOW COULD I NOT?!?!?!?!?!?
I do suggest you try this at home… but take no responsibility for subsequent bacon addictions and years of treatments for heart problems…
Its ready to cook
The bacon explosion aka “The Pork Monster” is ready to go in the oven…
I’ll be posting a full article about it and the making of including pictures later this week.
