Should I buy a MacBook?

macbookair

Now that I’ve got an iPhone, and considering I’m a nerd… All i wanna do is write some program for my iPhone.  The evil genius of Apple however makes it a pain in the ass to do iPhone development on the Windows platform.  I’m conflicted here.  Do I buy a Mac?  Do I spend the time making the iPhone devlopment thing work on my PC?

Thing is, Macs tend to be a bit more expensive than I really want to spend right now – especially if it’d be almost exclusively for iPhone development.  But maybe my genius would come up with the next great thing in iPhone development and it would make me millions and totally make the purchase worth while…

What to do what to do…

A guy I work with bought a Mac Mini for iPhone development. Would definitely be a significantly cheaper alternative to a MacBook.

Yeah… thought about that… but then I’d need to use it with my desktop monitor, and get a more than 2 port KVM, and I’d be stuck at my desk more, and already working from home frequently, I kind of want that freedom of being not at my desk… am I just being cheap? and picky? and an asshole?

    Welp…
I think you made the right decision on the 13.3 Macbook over the air. Saved a bunch over the air, got much better specs, and totally dig the build in optical drive. Plus, no tax FTW!
